The Butcher's Tap & Grill is a hidden gem located in the charming streets behind London's renowned King's Road in Chelsea. This restaurant is a slight variation of the original pub in Marlow, and it is known for its impressive selection of drinks, scrumptious steaks, burgers, hotdogs, and a variety of British cuts that can be taken away. We are currently seeking an ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join our team.
Tom Kerridge established the first Butchers Tap in Marlow alongside his 2 Michelin Star restaurant, The Hand and Flowers, and 1 Michelin Star establishment, The Coach. We are looking for Junior Sous Chef who are passionate about their craft, ideally with prior experience in a similar role, but mostly with the right attitude and enthusiasm. Chef requirements
  • We are looking for a Junior Sous/Sous Chef, ideally with previous experience in a similar role, a good knowledge of butchery and a natural leader.
  • The Junior Sous/Sous Chef will help oversee the kitchen, manage the team efficiently and ensure that all dishes are prepared and cooked to the highest standards. The Junior Sous/Sous Chef must be flexible and able to work a variety of hours/shifts.
  • This is a new and exciting role for a tenacious Junior Sous/Sous Chef with enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Assist the Head chef and coordinate the work of kitchen staff
  • Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations
  • Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious dishes
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
