A huge part of this role will require you to be able to develop and create new fresh menus, seasonal menus, sourcing ingredients and suppliers. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of food production and ensure the highest quality culinary offerings. Your leadership and expertise in the kitchen will contribute to our restaurant's success and our guests' satisfaction. Duties: - Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support - Create and develop innovative menus that showcase culinary excellence - Oversee food preparation, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards - Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed - Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment - Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences - Train new kitchen staff members on proper food handling techniques and safety procedures - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu offerings Requirements: - Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team - Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen operations - Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional quality - Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Skills: - Food production - Leadership - Kitchen management - Culinary expertise - Restaurant operations - Team management - Cooking techniques - Hospitality industry knowledge We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
