About the Walnut Tree Café The Walnut Tree Café is open 7 days a week and serves food and beverages to the local community. Offering both indoor and outdoor seating on the corner of South Park, it is a popular amenity for local people and is the main hub of SEACC. The person we are looking for: This is an exciting opportunity for a trained barista with excellent people skills and at least 2 years experience of working in a café. We are seeking 1 person to join the team on a casual contract with the possibility of a 20 hour a week contract for the right candidate. Main areas of responsibility, including but not limited to: Opening and closing the Walnut Tree Cafe Taking orders and receiving payments Making coffee to a professional standard Speaking and interacting with both new and regular customers Maintaining a clean and sanitized working environment Regularly performing stock checks and placing new orders Following recipes and presentations for food and beverage items Being aware of and following operational policies and procedures Being punctual and maintaining regular and consistent attendance The ability to work flexible hours and shifts which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends and bank holidays Contributing to a positive work environment The successful applicant will have the following attributes: Essential: Clear communication skills Previous experience of working in a cafe or alternative hospitality setting Food Hygiene Level 2 Barista training Desirable: Experience of working with young adults with Learning Disabilities Experience of working within a community centre or community café Can easily commute to the centre
We are seeking a fully trained barista to cover our Chelsea Cafe from this Wednesday (15th May) to Monday (20th May). You will be paid an hourly rate of £13.15 and will not be required to work on Sunday. Hours: 07:30-16:30 With opportunity for a permanent position.
We are looking for individuals with experience in the hospitality sector, who work well in a team, have an adaptable approach, and is familiar with food safety practices. The successful applicant will help increase popularity, boost customer engagement and help turn our cafe into a favourite local spot. This unique role will combine the day-to-day operations in the coffee shop with supporting vulnerable young adults (our candidates) to thrive and learn in this sector, including gaining excellent customer service skills. Pump & Grind’s menu focuses on excellent tea and coffee and a small selection of healthy foods made on the premises with high quality ingredients. Our menu is currently under review to ensure it can be delivered by our candidates. The role includes supervision of very simple cooking (soups, mainly). Shift Leader responsibilities include working with the Manager to order supplies such as coffee, milk and snacks, as needed, recording daily expenses and revenues and. Leaders should be able to demonstrate experience in coffee shop, familiarity with the barista role, and be available to work during opening hours.
