Academic Tutors Needed to join children's tuition agency Kamakala Kids House. I am currently looking for tutors experienced in teaching Maths and English to primary school age children, with experience teaching for the 11+ exams and other school entrance examinations a bonus. You must have at least two years experience with tutoring/teaching, great communication skills, empathy, patience and genuine enthusiasm for helping to build children's confidence and raise their academic attainment. Tuition roles are usually during after school hours with a start time typically between 4-6pm. Lessons are usually an hour long and we pay our tutors £40 per hour. The majority of our students are in and around Dulwich so you must be able to commute to this area for lessons. As we are a small agency, I am on hand to help you with lesson planning and resources as needed. This is a part time role (the average number of hours our tutors teach per week is around 5 hours). We are committed to a holistic and nurturing approach, believing that children do best when they feel understood and part of the process of their own learning- we want the tuition experience to be positive and enjoyable for tutors and tutees alike!
