An exciting and rare opportunity to join our team at Table 13 has opened up, we are looking for a full time CDP (who would like to learn some baking skills too!) to work alongside our kitchen team through our busy weeks! We are looking for someone to cover 45h/week , perks include just one double (early finish, 9-9.30pm) a week, Christmas and NYE off and a very flexible rota, among many others! This is an opportunity to join a small, very passionate and friendly team, with an opportunity to learn kitchen service, baking and management skills. Ideally looking for someone with 1 year experience in a busy kitchen.

Looking for a part time pastry chef to join our team, for the moment we offer 2-3 days a week (days and hours are flexible). the job will include preparation and baking breads for the cafe, making cakes and cookies for the display and develop new desserts and recipes.

Recipe Development and Shelf Life Enhancement: - Collaborate with the existing pastry team to refine and develop recipes that align with customer preferences and market trends. - Innovate with new flavours, techniques, and preservatives to extend the shelf life of our cakes for increased wholesaler appeal. Quality Control: - Uphold the consistency and high quality of all baked products through rigorous quality control measures. - Conduct regular inspections of equipment and workstations to maintain a sanitary and well organised baking environment. Team Collaboration: - Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules, optimising production efficiency for large-scale batches. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef in a commercial setting, with a focus on large-scale production. - In-depth knowledge of advanced baking techniques, ingredient functions, and adherence to food safety standards. - Demonstrated creativity and innovation in recipe development, especially in the context of extended shelf life. - Exceptional time management and organisational skills. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities, enabling effective collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking recruit a Dessert Chef. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for bakery and desserts and participate with the Head Chef in the development of the menus in our four schools. JOB DESCRIPTION -Ensure that appropriate methods of cooking and presentation are used to maintain the highest standards of production and service -Ensure that legal and Foundation regulations regarding hygiene, health and safety are complied with -Assist with maintenance of goods received system to ensure statutory and quality standards are maintained -Assist with the monitoring of production and wastage -Promote a friendly working relationship with colleagues -Promote a good Foundation image to customers and guests and use positive customer service practices -Assist with the implementation of cleaning schedules to agreed standards. Assist in pre service briefing of colleagues with regard to dish content, portion sizes, service utensils and accompaniments. -To prepare all food with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customers’ special dietary requirements: for example, nut, dairy or wheat allergies. -To undertake Foundation calendared and non-calendared special function duties outside the normal routine but within the scope of the position and the department’s activities. The payment for these tasks is within the framework of your annual salary. -To promote recycling in line with Foundation expectations.
