Total experience required:10 Years Relevant experience required: 5–8 years in Private Cloud (VMware/OpenStack/Container Platforms) with strong DellEMC exposure. Key Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and manage Private Cloud platforms (VMware Cloud Foundation, vRealize Suite, OpenStack, Kubernetes-based solutions)., • Architect and maintain DellEMC-backed storage solutions as the storage backbone for Private Cloud workloads., • Lead end-to-end lifecycle of Private Cloud: provisioning, capacity planning, automation, operations, and upgrades., • Integrate compute, network, and storage layers into a single Private Cloud fabric enabling IaaS, PaaS, and container workloads., • Define and enforce cloud governance, automation standards, and multi-tenancy models., • Drive adoption of cloud-native workloads (Kubernetes/OpenShift, VM-based, container storage interface with DellEMC)., • Collaborate with customers and architects to design hybrid cloud architectures that extend Private Cloud to AWS/Azure/GCP., • Implement automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, vRealize Automation, PowerCLI) for provisioning and lifecycle management., • Establish backup, DR, and resiliency strategies for private cloud using DellEMC Data Domain, PowerProtect, and replication technologies., • Perform regular capacity, performance, and cost optimization of private cloud and storage resources., • Lead L2/L3 engineers in solving critical incidents, escalations, and implementing change requests., • Conduct root cause analysis for private cloud service disruptions and drive proactive improvements., • Plan, test, and execute disaster recovery failovers for private cloud platforms., • Build multi-cloud integration blueprints where private cloud interacts with edge or public cloud environments., • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements in private cloud operations., • Train and mentor junior engineers on private cloud frameworks and DellEMC technologies. Technical Requirements: • Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX, vRealize Automation (vRA), vRealize Operations (vROps)., • Knowledge of OpenStack, RedHat OpenShift/Kubernetes, and integration with storage., • Expertise in DellEMC storage platforms: PowerMax, VMAX, Unity, PowerStore, ECS., • Knowledge of storage replication & protection: SRDF, RecoverPoint, MirrorView, snapshots, and Cloud DR., • Familiarity with DellEMC DataDomain, PowerProtect, Avamar for private cloud data protection., • Solid understanding of SAN technologies (Brocade, Cisco – zoning, multipathing, FCIP, ISLs)., • Exposure to software-defined storage and storage for containers (CSI plugins, persistent volumes)., • Strong skills in automation frameworks: Terraform, Ansible, PowerCLI, Python. Knowledge of network virtualization and micro-segmentation (VMware NSX, SDN)., • Understanding of cloud cost management, showback/chargeback models, and capacity dashboards., • Familiarity with monitoring tools (vROps, Dell CloudIQ, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)., • Working knowledge of hybrid cloud connectivity (DirectConnect/ExpressRoute, HCX, Cloud Foundation extensions)., • Build and maintain multi-tenant private cloud infrastructure with role-based access and resource quotas., • Implement self-service provisioning portals (vRA, OpenStack Horizon, Cloud Director)., • Configure and manage chargeback/showback models for private cloud cost transparency., • Perform capacity planning, right-sizing, and scaling of compute, storage, and network resources., • Automate VM / container lifecycle management (provisioning, patching, decommissioning). Other Skills requirement: • Experience delivering enterprise-grade private cloud services., • Familiarity with ITIL/TOGAF frameworks for service delivery., • Hands-on with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy)., • Cross-domain knowledge (networking, security, compute, backup, DR)., • Exposure to public cloud storage integration (AWS EBS/EFS/S3, Azure Blob/Disk, GCP Persistent Disk). Certification requirements: • Must have “EMC Storage certified Associate l” certificate., • Must have ITIL foundation certified certification., • Industry certifications such as Dell EMC Certified Expert, VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), or similar credentials are highly desirable.
