Job DescriptionJob Title: Material Control Specialist Job Description Join our team as a Material Control Specialist in the Shipping/Receiving department of our heavy industrial facility. This role involves receiving all metal and related parts for assembly, performing cycle counts, and staging product through production. You will occasionally operate a sit-down forklift, but 90% of your day will be spent on your feet. Responsibilities include lifting and loading 50-75 pounds and handling materials throughout the day. You may also use a table grinder to smooth metals for production, followed by packaging, wrapping, and labeling products for shipment. Responsibilities • Receive and manage all metal and related parts for assembly., • Perform inventory control and cycle counts., • Stage products through the production process., • Operate a sit-down forklift occasionally., • Lift and load 50-75 pounds consistently., • Handle materials throughout the day., • Use a table grinder to grind and smooth metals., • Package, wrap, and label products for shipping.Essential Skills, • Experience in inventory, production, shipping, and receiving., • Proficiency in packaging, staging, palletizing, wrapping, and Excel data entry., • Strong organizational and analytical skills., • Experience in warehousing and materials management., • Ability to lift 75 pounds consistently.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Manufacturing experience preferred., • Warehouse experience involving heavy labor is acceptable., • Forklift experience is a plus., • Mechanical inclination is a plus., • Experience with metal work is a plus.Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a large, open bay production facility with multiple work stations and bays. The production floor is not climate-controlled, though industrial-sized ceiling fans help circulate air. Employees will use safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, and ear plugs when necessary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
