ProKatchers is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Rockford, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: CT Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Performs computed tomography procedures and related techniques. Administers x-radiation to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation. May be required to alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and take call. May be asked to flex hours and overtime as necessary to provide quality patient care at assigned sites(s). \n\t, • Performs diagnostic CT procedures.\n\t, • 2 years of CT experience required\n\t, • If assigned radiographer job duties, also performs radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical and portable radiographic exams.\n\t, • Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist.\n\t, • Prepares the patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.\n\t, • Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures.\n\t, • Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort; immobilizes patient as necessary.\n\t, • Practices aseptic technique as necessary,\n\t, • Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed; starts and maintains intravenous access.\n\t, • Initiates basic life support action when necessary.\n\t, • Provides patient education.\n\t, • Provides input for supply and equipment decisions, maintains control of inventory and supplies for assigned area.\n\t, • Provides practical instruction for students and partners.\n\t, • Observes universal protocol, standard precautions and appropriate patient identifiers.\n\t, • Applies principles of patient safety during all aspects of procedures, including assisting and transporting patients.\n\n\n\nEducation:\n\n\n\n\t, • BLS/CPR Certification.\n\t, • ARRT Radiography registration required\n\n\n\n\n\t, • ARRT Computed Tomography registration required\n\t, • IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required\n\t At ProKatchers, we offer both short- and long-term contracts, as well as travel opportunities for licensed and experienced healthcare professionals across the United States.
