What You’ll Do As a Senior or Principal Hydrogeologist, you’ll play a key role in the development of our hydrogeology capability. You will: • Lead and manage groundwater projects, from initial concept through to delivery and reporting, • Provide expert advice on hydrogeological issues, including environmental impact assessments, groundwater risk assessments, pollution control, environmental permitting and regulatory submissions, • Undertake comprehensive hydrogeological assessments, including water resource, abstraction licensing, dewatering assessments, impact (HIA), risk assessments (HRA), groundwater and risk modelling, and contaminated land assessments, • Liaise with clients, regulators (e.g., Environment Agency, NRW, SEPA), and stakeholders to provide strategic and technical guidance, • Collaborative and supportive teamwork, participate in mentoring and training other staff in key technical areas, sharing your knowledge and encouraging good practices, • Contribute to business development by preparing proposals, building client relationships, and identifying new opportunities, • Assist in the development of client relationships and opportunities for continued growth of environmental services based on your skills and areas of expertise, • Ensure high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance across all projects What we are looking for • A degree (and ideally a postgraduate qualification) in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline, • Chartered status (or approaching chartered status) with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIWEM, GeolSoc), • A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience is required for the Senior position, while eight years of relevant industry experience is necessary for the Principal position.
