The OpportunityUP.Labs is launching a stealth aftermarket parts intelligence startup transforming how mid-market OEMs manage and grow their aftermarket parts businesses. Built in partnership with Wabash National (one of North America's largest trailer manufacturers), we're creating an agentic AI platform that turns parts data into autonomous revenue actions. Our platform doesn't just surface insights—it takes action. Through autonomous AI agents, we automatically decompose revenue changes to root causes, trigger inventory replenishment, optimize pricing against competitors, and route issues to the right specialists. We're building the intelligence layer for the $25B+ heavy-duty aftermarket that doesn't exist today. This is a 0-to-1 product leadership role at the intersection of AI, supply chain, and B2B SaaS. You'll define the product vision, translate complex operational workflows into autonomous systems, and build the foundation for a category-defining platform. What You'll Do Define Product Vision & Strategy (30%) • Own the product roadmap from current pilot (Wabash National) through multi-tenant SaaS platform serving dozens of mid-market to enterprise-scale OEMs, • Translate enterprise parts business operations into product requirements for autonomous AI systems, • Define when AI acts independently vs. surfaces recommendations vs. requires human approval, • Establish product metrics that prove business value (revenue impact, inventory efficiency and fill rates, time savings) not just technical performance, • Make build/buy/partner decisions on core vs. non-core capabilities (e.g., PLM & DMS integration, demand forecasting, pricing engines) Ensure Customer Alignment and High Value (30%) • Deeply understand pain points and use cases; develop well-aligned iterative solutions ranked by high impact and fast time to value for our customers, particularly in this noisy and opportunity-rich environment, • Bring a customer focus first lens to all we do, with an emphasis on high usability and an excellent user experience, • Conduct deep discovery with parts managers, category managers, channel personnel, procurement teams, and commercial leadership, • Run pilots with design partners to validate product-market fit for specific use cases Lead Data-Driven Product Development (20%) • Design analytics that automatically identify why business metrics changed and route insights to the right action owners, • Define confidence thresholds and human-in-the-loop workflows for AI decision-making, • Build product analytics to measure AI performance: detection speed, accuracy, action completion rates, business outcome validation, • Partner with data science and engineering to translate business logic into automated workflows, • Use data to inform product decisions: analyze usage patterns, identify friction points, validate hypotheses Execute Cross-Functional Product Development (20%) • Work with engineering to architect systems that integrate real-time data from multiple sources, • Collaborate on workflows for category managers, commercial teams, and operations—not just analytics dashboards, • Partner with customer success to instrument product for learning: capture edge cases, validate recommendations, measure adoption, • Define API strategy for integrating with ERP platforms, dealer management systems, and internal databases, • Lead sprint planning, prioritization, and trade-off decisions with technical teams Contribute to Go-to-Market Plans and Tactics • Define function/module strategy: what features belong in OEM platform vs. dealer portal vs. future modules, • Work with sales/partnerships to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with mid-market and enterprise OEMs, • Develop pricing and packaging plans that align with customer value and drive revenue growth, • Create product collateral: demo environments, ROI calculators, implementation playbooks, • Support sales efforts with demos, roadmap discussions, and potential customer-sponsored enhancements What You Bring AI/ML Product Experience (2+ years building products) • Shipped production AI/ML products at scale, not just pilots or prototypes, • Deep understanding of what AI can and cannot do reliably—and how to set appropriate user expectations, • Experience defining success metrics for AI systems that tie to business outcomes, • Comfort making trade-offs between model performance, cost, latency, and user experience, • Track record translating technical capabilities into valuable user experiences Data Product Expertise (2+ years) • Built products where data drives decisions and actions, not just reporting, • Experience designing analytics that surface insights people actually use to change behavior, • Understanding of how to measure things that matter: attribution, root cause analysis, performance decomposition, • Ability to work with data teams to define what data to collect, how to structure it, and what analyses to run, • Comfort with numbers: can analyze cohorts, interpret statistical outputs, spot data quality issues B2B SaaS Background (5+ years) • Built products for operations teams (supply chain, procurement, finance, sales ops), • Experience with complex stakeholder ecosystems: platform users, admins, data owners, end customers, • Understanding of enterprise workflows: how decisions get made, who needs to approve what, where systems integrate, • Familiarity with B2B buying cycles: pilots, buying committees, design partnerships, implementation planning, change management Culture and Personal Competencies • Startup/Venture Product Leadership: Built products from 0-to-1 or joined at seed/Series A and scaled to product-market fit., • A passion for serving customers and bringing them delightful experiences, • An ability to communicate the big picture to boards and C-level while understanding the pain points of every user cohort, • Unafraid of challenging existing solutions, workflows, and processes to build something new and better, • Extreme levels of hard work, accountability, and personal accountability, • A fundamental understanding that your own success is maximized by helping those around you succeed Nice-to-Haves • Domain Knowledge: Experience in aftermarket parts, equipment service, distribution, or adjacent industries (e.g. manufacturing, supply chain), • Technical Fluency: Can review data models, understand API architectures, and speak credibly with engineering teams (bonus: SQL, Python), • Enterprise Systems: Familiarity with ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), PLM systems, or dealer management systems, • Automation Experience: Built workflow automation, decision support systems, or products that take autonomous actions, • Metrics Frameworks: Built OKR/KPI systems, designed north star metrics, or implemented data-driven decision-making processes UP.Labs Summary:We build high-growth technology startups that enable faster, cleaner, and safer movement of people and goods.
