Our reputation is built on trust, consistency, and the ability to execute complex, high-touch events at scale. THE ROLE This is not a maintenance role—this is a build, elevate, and lead role. We are seeking a high-impact Director of Sales who will take ownership of the sales organization, raise standards, and drive disciplined, profitable growth. This role requires a leader who is deeply engaged in the business, understands the nuances of off-premise catering, and knows how to push performance without compromising culture or client experience. You will be responsible for setting the tone, driving accountability, and developing a best-in-class sales team while ensuring all sales efforts align with operational execution and the TGIS brand. This is an in-office, highly collaborative position with direct visibility into leadership, operations, and key client relationships. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE • A sales team that is structured, accountable, and consistently performing at a high level, • Improved close rates, pricing discipline, and revenue quality, • Stronger venue partnerships and repeat client growth, • Clear, consistent sales processes and communication standards, • A culture where expectations are high, performance is measured, and wins are shared KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sales Leadership & Accountability • Lead, manage, and develop a team of Event Managers and sales professionals, • Establish and enforce clear sales processes, expectations, and performance metrics, • Hold the team accountable for revenue goals, responsiveness, and professionalism, • Actively coach team members to improve conversion rates, confidence, and client management, • Identify gaps quickly and take decisive action on performance issues, • Work closely with marketing manager to review marketing and social media Revenue Strategy & Performance • Drive profitable revenue growth, not just volume, • Maintain strong pricing discipline and protect margins, • Oversee forecasting, pipeline management, and booking strategy, • Evaluate and approve proposals, pricing exceptions, and high-level negotiations, • Align sales strategy with business goals, seasonality, and operational capacity Client Experience & Brand Leadership • Ensure every client interaction reflects the TGIS standard of excellence, • Elevate proposal quality, communication tone, and overall presentation, • Support high-profile clients and attend meetings & events as needed, • Maintain and grow key relationships with venues and industry partners, • Attend networking events and conferences as needed Operational Alignment • Work closely with Culinary, Operations, Warehouse, service teams and designated managers, • Ensure all sales commitments are realistic, executable, and aligned with internal capabilities, • Bridge the gap between sales and execution to ensure seamless events, • Participate in event strategy discussions when needed Team Development & Culture • Recruit and retain top-tier talent, • Build a culture of ownership, urgency, and accountability, • Lead by example with professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail, • Foster a team environment that is both supportive and performance-driven Reporting & Oversight • Track and report on sales metrics, conversion rates, and revenue performance, • Maintain discipline around discounts, concessions, and financial decisions, • Manage departmental goals, budgets, and forecasting accuracy REQUIREMENTS Experience • Minimum 5+ years in a Director of Sales or senior sales leadership role, • Minimum 10+ years in catering, hospitality, or event production required, • Proven success leading high-performing sales teams in off-premise catering, • Strong understanding of complex event logistics and execution, • Experience working with high-end clientele, venues, and large-scale events Who You Are • A strong, confident leader who is not afraid to set expectations and hold a team accountable, • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven, • A strategic thinker who also executes at a high level day-to-day, • A clear, direct communicator with strong presence, • Someone who understands both the art and business of hospitality, • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-demand environment COMPENSATION • $130,000 – $195,000 (commensurate with experience), • Performance-based bonus structure, • Full-Time, Exempt WHY TGIS • 35+ years of industry leadership and reputation, • Exclusive and premier venue partnerships, • High-profile events and a diverse client base, • Family-driven company with strong culture and long-tenured team, • Opportunity to make a real impact and shape the future of the sales organization Pay: $130,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year • Work Location: In person
