Job DescriptionJob Title: MIG Welder Job Description We are seeking skilled MIG Welders for our 1st shift openings, scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This role requires candidates with approximately 5 years of hands-on welding experience. Candidates will be responsible for MIG welding, fabrication, and finishing on steel storage and shipping containers. These containers are fabricated and repaired on-site, moving through production on an automated conveyor system. Responsibilities • Perform stitch welds and full welds on components and assemblies using the GMAW process., • Utilize oxy/acetylene and plasma cutters as needed., • Read and interpret tape measures and basic blueprints., • Use basic hand tools and grinders when necessary., • Lay out and measure dimensions and reference lines on materials using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers., • Drill and punch holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets., • Fasten seams and joints with welds, bolts, cement, and other methods., • Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites using shears, hammers, punches, and drills., • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces of assembled parts., • Weld components in various positions including flat, vertical, or overhead., • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment., • Monitor the welding process to prevent material damage., • Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade., • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies using straightedges and other measuring tools.Essential Skills, • Must have approximately 5 years of hands-on welding experience., • Ability to pass AWS 4G welding test., • Proficient in reading tape measures and basic blueprints., • Experience with GMAW welding process.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Knowledge of oxy/acetylene and plasma cutter use is a plus., • Experience with various welding processes including gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, and others., • Familiarity with operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.Why Work Here? Work Environment Work is performed in a production welding environment during the 1st shift, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cinnaminson, New Jersey. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
