Job DescriptionJob Title: Chemist Job Description This position involves working in a laboratory environment conducting quality control (QC) work. The role includes testing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods using techniques such as HPLC and GC. The position also involves the maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and working within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment. Responsibilities • Conduct quality control testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods., • Perform HPLC and GC testing on samples from production and final products., • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments as needed., • Follow SOPs and ensure compliance with GMP standards., • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.Essential Skills, • Experience in Chemistry or Biochemistry., • Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, or FTIR testing., • Proficiency in viscosity testing., • Strong communication skills., • Ability to work effectively in a GMP environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry., • Previous lab experience as a Wet Chem Lab Technician., • Familiarity with quality control testing procedures.Work Environment This is a lab-based position focused on QC bench work and documentation. The work hours are from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The candidate will be part of a small, family-owned business specializing in over-the-counter lotion and cream products. The lab team consists of a director, two lab technicians, and a QC tech person. The candidate will be one of two lab technicians responsible for hands-on QC analysis in the lab. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendale, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
