Job DescriptionPrimary Job Title: Chemist Alternate/Related Job Titles:Chemical Engineer, Research Chemist, Analytical Chemist Location:San Antonio, TX Contract Details:Type: Temp-to-Hire Duration: Initial temporary engagement with potential for full-time hire based on performance Work Setting: On-site laboratory within manufacturing environment Job Summary:The Chemist supports the manufacturing and R&D teams by developing, analyzing, and improving chemical processes related to rare earth and zirconium compounds. This role involves hands-on laboratory work, chemical analysis, and product development to ensure high-quality production standards and adherence to client specifications. Key Responsibilities: • Lead product and process development for rare earth and zirconium-based compounds., • Develop analytical methods and quality assurance techniques for finished products., • Conduct laboratory experiments and perform wet chemistry, ICP-MS, AA, BET, and ISE analyses., • Produce chemicals, prepare batch tickets, and document experimental data accurately., • Evaluate feasibility and determine if products meet client and internal specifications., • Collaborate with leadership and production teams to enhance chemical manufacturing processes.Required Experience:, • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field from a four-year accredited institution., • 5–7 years of professional experience in chemistry, chemical process development, or analytical chemistry.Nice-to-Have Experience:, • Experience working with rare earth or inorganic compounds in a manufacturing or lab setting., • Exposure to process scale-up and pilot plant operations., • Familiarity with industrial chemical production and quality control systems.Required Skills (Top 3 Must-Haves):, • Proficiency in analytical and inorganic chemistry techniques, • Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation (ICP-MS, AA, BET, ISE), • Strong data analysis and documentation skillsPreferred Skills:, • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, • Ability to design and interpret experimental protocols, • Strong problem-solving and communication skillsSpecialized Training Required:, • Working knowledge of inorganic and rare earth chemistry, • Familiarity with analytical laboratory practices and safety protocolsFor More Information please call 210-534-6166 #vipstaffing#zrsali
