We are seeking passionate and dedicated tutors, particularly in K–5 mathematics, to deliver high-impact instruction that accelerates achievement and builds student confidence. We welcome content experts in ELA, Math, primary and secondary education, English Language Development (ELD), Special Education, executive functioning, and social-emotional learning. Certified teachers (active or retired), bilingual tutors, and individuals with substantial classroom experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates are relationship-oriented, culturally responsive, dependable, and coachable, with a strong work ethic and reliable transportation. Whether virtual or in-person, you will provide high-quality academic support to students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Key Responsibilities * Deliver Consistent, Evidence-Based Instruction Provide high-quality math instruction to students in grades K–5 through structured, standards-aligned lessons that focus on conceptual understanding, fluency, and problem-solving. Follow a consistent tutoring schedule to ensure students receive the dosage necessary to achieve measurable growth. * Use Data to Drive Learning Regularly analyze formative and summative assessment data to tailor instruction to student needs, monitor progress, and adjust instructional strategies for maximum effectiveness. * Foster Positive Relationships Build strong, supportive, and respectful relationships with students that motivate and encourage them to take academic risks. Establish trust and create an emotionally safe, culturally responsive learning environment where students feel valued. * Promote Active Engagement & SEL Use strategies that actively engage students in math learning, encourage critical thinking, and integrate social-emotional learning skills such as perseverance, self-regulation, and confidence. * Collaborate with Educators & Coaches Partner with classroom teachers, school leaders, and instructional coaches to align tutoring with classroom instruction and reinforce core content. Participate in coaching, training, and feedback cycles to continually refine practice. * Commit to Professional Growth Engage in ongoing training and reflective practice. Demonstrate openness to feedback, a growth mindset, and a willingness to adopt evidence-based instructional strategies. * Maintain Professionalism & Reliability Show dependability, punctuality, and consistency in both virtual and in-person settings. Uphold professional standards, demonstrate cultural humility, and ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all learners. Qualifications * Associate’s degree or current enrollment in college or university with a minimum of 24 credits required (Bachelor’s degree preferred); exceptional candidates with evidence of significant tutoring or teaching experience will also be considered. * Strong mathematics content knowledge for grades K–5, including foundational number sense, operations, fractions, and problem-solving strategies. * Experience working with children in educational settings (school, tutoring, mentoring, after-school programs, etc.). * Commitment to equity and culturally responsive practices. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with peers, families, and school staff. * Reliable technology and internet access for virtual tutoring; consistent transportation for in-person sessions. * Preferred experience working with children in a classroom, tutoring, or other educational settings. * Specialized backgrounds or experience, such as Special Education and English Language Development (ELD) is highly preferred. * Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices. * Demonstrated patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong connections with students of diverse ages and abilities.
