Job Description ARIS Sports Medicine (IG: @arisphysicaltherapy) is HIRING! We are looking for Physical Therapists who thrive in an educationally driven environment where we foster a functional teaching model. We invest a great deal of time educating our patients about anatomy, alignment, and functional biomechanics. From there we can reference what they have learned and help them learn and apply correct functional biomechanics in their daily lives, work, and sport. Our patients include grade school, high school, college, elite, Olympic, and professional athletes, as well as those who are working professionals from many different occupations, including fire fighters and police officers. Of course, we also see those who are not involved in athletics and simply want to return to 100% of their abilities/function. Whether our patients have had surgery or not, the goal is to progress our patients to the point where they are better in all aspects of function than they were before they were injured. This also includes their confidence to fully return to their work, sport or lifestyle. We are always working to continuously learn and improve as individuals and as a team!!! Our physical therapists treat one patient per hour while they are solo. At some point they are paired up with a physical therapist assistant or a certified/licensed athletic trainer to rehabilitate patients who have developed a dysfunction or have had an injury or surgery where they would see 2 per hour between the two of them. We treat many different post-operative cases, which include non-surgical and surgical cases We need a Physical Therapist who knows how to problem solve as opposed to simply treating symptoms. We routinely take PT, PTA, and even M.D. interns because we love to teach and help our interns take the challenging patients who others were unable to help. Manual therapy and manually resisted activities are also a significant part of our success with our patients, which is necessary to improve and normalize mobility, flexibility and even to foster proprioception and neuromuscular recruitment. As noted above, in addition to our application of manual therapy, we educate/instruct/correct, coach our patients through a logical, skill-based progression. We start with fundamental positions and dynamic stabilization as a precursor to simple and complex movement patterns. Movement patterns without additional resistance, then with resistance as they become proficient. Company DescriptionARIS is an Elite Private Outpatient Orthopedic Sports Medicine clinic. Orthopedic Surgeons, Coaches, Athletes at all levels, Fire Fighters, Police Officers, and people from all walks of life depend on us to help them regain or achieve the highest level of performance after an injury or surgery. We feel we are one of the best clinics in the country because we focus on fundamentals of functional anatomy and functional biomechanics starting with our evaluations. Details matter! The information and observations gained in our evaluation carries into our treatment plan. We place a great deal of emphasis on education, instruction and coaching of every patient/athlete so that they have an in-depth understanding of our findings. We help them differentiate between the symptoms and what we believe to be the greatest area of concern, the real problem. An incident which caused an injury is, of course, not a mystery. It is the patient who has an injury or recurrent strain/sprain that affects their ability to perform at an optimal level. We must perform a thorough evaluation of their structure, mobility, flexibility, dynamic stabilization, and the quality of their movement patterns. Additionally, we must assess their ability to correctly perceive their positions and movement patterns. As we move through the process, which may include manual therapy, dry needling, shock wave, and NMES, we must focus on coaching them into correct positions, facilitate their ability to dynamically stabilize, which leads into correct movement patterns (simple and compound). Progression is in a logical sequence and is based on skill acquisition, healing timelines, and the patient’s response. Non-operative and post-operative protocols are used as guidelines, yet we think critically through each patient’s case and we are always making adjustments based on the patient/athlete’s learning style and ability to assimilate the information. The result is a patient/athlete who returns to their respective work or sport where all aspects of their functional ability, especially how they understand function, are at a much higher level. They “will” have a higher level of performance!ARIS is an Elite Private Outpatient Orthopedic Sports Medicine clinic.
